The Yerba Buena Parent Faculty Association (YBPFA) raises funds to further the education and welfare of children at Yerba Buena Elementary School through educational programs, materials and services. We also serve as a communication channel between staff and parents, and between the school and the surrounding community.

Because funds from the school district and state do not cover “extras” like a computer teacher, an art teacher, PE teacher, or technology supplies for every student, YBPFA raises money to purchase these items and fund additional staffing to provide this essential instruction for our students.

Partly as a result of our organization’s support of the school over the past several years, the school has received numerous awards and recognition from state and federal agencies, including the highly coveted National Blue Ribbon Award from the US Department of Education.
